Recorded on 6/24/91 or thereabouts, this mixtape was made specifically for my girlfriend for the purpose of “cooling down” after workouts. It’s right there in the title. Included here is a taste of 12 of our favorite bands at the time. Of course, Crowded House tops the list with the perfection of singer-songwriter Neil Finn in the driver’s seat.

The following three tunes all came from the Red Hot + Blue compilation of Cole Porter covers. Tracks four, five, and six were songs recorded by Sinéad O’Conner, Jody Watley, and k.d. lang, respectively. All great burners.
