Live Review: Hot & Spicy Food Festival with Cheap Trick, The Georgia Satellites, Cool for August, and Eddie Bush at the Naval Air Station, Marietta, GA, 5/30/98

The proliferation of music produced by Cheap Trick is astounding. They’ve been putting out new music since their self-titled debut in 1977. However, on this hot day in Georgia, the foursome stuck to the hits, playing only songs from the first four releases, all from the seventies. Fans were not disappointed.
The band’s go-to opener for decades, “Hello There,” is a 1:40 minute powerhouse that always gets that fire started. Lead Trickster Robin Zander, who possess one of rock’s all-time greatest voices, asks fans, “Hello there ladies and gentlemen / Hello there ladies and gents / Are you ready to rock / Are you ready or not?” We are always ready.
