Live Review: Joan Jett & the Blackhearts at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, KS, January 29, 1982

Riding the wave on their first and biggest hit “I Love Rock and Roll” from the album of the same name, Joan Jett and her Blackhearts were the new sound of rock music. Experiencing reasonable success with her debut earlier in 1981’s song and album “Bad Reputation,” Jett would continue to rock for the following four decades, and get inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2015.

A setlist was not recorded for this show, but this was the BIG breakthrough and the album was most likely played in its entirety.
