Live Review: Starship with The Outfield at Sandstone Amphitheater in Bonner Springs, KS, August 16, 1986

It was an evening of hits spanning three decades (Jefferson Airplane, Jefferson Starship, Starship). Touring in support of their latest, Knee Deep in the Hoopla, Starship was riding the wave of a monster hit with “We Built This City.” Incidentally, they opened the show with this song and ended the show with this song. Too much?

“Sara” was the other hit off the album. The group would release two more studio albums before disbanding.

Openers The Outfield were uber hot with their debut release Play Deep and single “Your Love” (“Josie’s on a vacation far away…”).
