Patterson Hood at Eddie’s Attic in Decatur, December 10, 2019
On the heels of Hood’s Drive-By Truckers 12th studio release The Unraveling, he has squeezed in a few solo performances before the holidays hit. It’s no secret that Hood wears his political heart on his sleeve and it comes across deafeningly through his music. From his birth in Alabama, his move to Athens, Georgia, and now settling in his adopted home of Portland, Oregon, Hood has his finger on the conscience of America.
Among the wonderful tunes performed, “Two Daughters and a Beautiful Wife,” the new “Armageddon’s Back in Town,” “Babies in Cages,” “Thoughts and Prayers,” and “Hell No, I Ain’t Happy” were clear audience favorites. The intimacy of Eddie’s Attic, the passion Hood has for his craft, and the impending holiday season made this night (the second of two) a most joyful experience.
Keep on truckin, Patterson! For more info, visit Drive-By Truckers.
