Live Review: The Police with Joan Jett & the Blackhearts at Kemper Arena in Kansas City, MO, March 25, 1982
Having recently become a Police fan, this was my first Police show. In support of their fourth studio album Ghost In The Machine, they created an energy that Kemper Arena had not experienced before. I had begun loving their albums, so seeing them live was a huge chapter in my love for live music. This threesome was fast on the way of becoming my all-time favorite band.
With the hits “Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic,” “Invisible Sun,” and the title track, they were gearing up to record their final album and masterpiece.
Joan Jett & the Blackhearts opened the show with their own rock fervor. A tight live band, they would evolve into a worldwide phenomenon.
